Junior Hurling

11 June, 2014

Emmet Bhré  4-12, Glenealy  0-11.
The Junior hurlers played Glenealy on Wed 11th June in Páirc Emmet Bhré. A beautiful evening for a game, this sporting encounter refereed by a Glenealy man, did not disappoint. Cathal Reddin and Seán Maloney were minding the house, but it was Ryan Tynan who was in Anthony Nash-form, thundering in two great penalties that put daylight between the two teams. Craig Brack-Sinnott and Colin Salmon worked hard in the engine room, along with strong tackling from David Ebbs. The main man upfront, stewarding and delivering a personal (1-3) was the influential Brian Duggan. Cheer of the night went to Rathdowney's finest son, Bill Maher, who signaled his return with a fine score and other generous assists. Beidh muid san Inbhear Mór an tseachtain seo chugainn.
