Junior Hurling V Avondale

25 May, 2011

Avondale        2 - 12  Emmet Bhré   1 - 7

The junior hurlers went down to Parnell-country last Wednesday. On a wet evening the maximum was done to make this encounter competitive and even. Bray, guided by the strength of Craig Brack, kept cool heads in the first-half with the narrowest of margin favouring Avondale at the break. In the second-half, Enda Ó Maolmhuaidh continued to set the tone, capping his outstanding performance by one wonderful solo point. Luke O'Reilly also had an excellent and tireless game at midfield, supported higher up the field by a determined PJ Farrell. Bray's final score came from an instinctive catch from Elliot Douglas who finding himself in precious space duly dispatched the sliotar to the back of the net.

Beidh muid ag imirt arís Dé Céadaoin i bPáirc Emmet Bhré i gcoinne Na Clocha Liatha ag 7.15pm.
