Emmets Junior hurlers had another fine win last recently in Old Conna against Avondale. The excellent weather and pitch conditions allowed a fine free flowing game. Emmets got off to a great start with a goal from Declan Glynn in the first five minutes, followed by points from Collie Browne and Brian McConnell. Avondale hit back with two quick points but Emmets got stronger and a Jordan Lee goal gave them a half time lead of 2-4 to 0-3.

A resurgent Avondale dominated the first fifteen mins of the 2nd half scoring 1-2 leaving only two points between the team before the Bray backs got a grip on the game with some great performances by John Ward, Craig Brack and debutants Owen Brazil and Goalie Mark Cowley.

From there, Bray stifled the youthful Avondale side and put the game out of reach with well taken goals by sub Colm O Keeffe and again from Glynn and points from Elliot Douglas and Mick Byrne, resulting in a final score of 4-8 to 1-8 in Brays favour.
