Arklow Rock Parnell's

13 June, 2008

Following an away defeat to Glenealy last week, Bray's junior hurlers got their campaign back on track with a hard fought win against ARP in Old Conna last Wednesday.

The first half saw the teams evenly matched as they traded points with the pick of the Bray scores coming from Mick Byrne and Brain McConnell. A well taken goal from Brain Lambe just before half time sent Bray in with a two point lead. The second half saw a great fight back from the rocks. Buoyed on by their backs Emmets dug deep and responded with points from Colm Browne and Craig Brack. With less than tens minutes to go Rocks were awarded a penalty and when the ball was fired over the bar the game was level. When experience was called for Mick Byrne supplied a sublime pass for Dan Phelan to score and put Bray ahead.

Captain Colm Salmon rounded off a fine performance with a fine point giving Emmet's a deserved two point win 1-9 to 0-10.
